John F. Kennedy: 1917-1963

Early Life and Education (1917-1940) 

Born on May 29, 1917, in Brookline, Massachusetts, near Boston, John F. Kennedy was born into a politically prominent family. He attended Harvard University, where he cultivated his interest in political science and international affairs.

Military Service and Political Ascent (1941-1960) 

Kennedy's military service in World War II as a PT boat commander was a defining experience, earning him the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism. After the war, he entered politics, serving in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate.

Presidency and New Frontier (1961-1963)

Elected as the 35th President of the United States in 1960, Kennedy's presidency, known as the "New Frontier," focused on civil rights, space exploration, and international relations. His leadership during the Cuban Missile Crisis was a pivotal moment in the Cold War.

Assassination and Legacy (1963) 

Tragically, Kennedy's presidency was cut short when he was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. His legacy includes initiating the Peace Corps and advocating for civil rights legislation.
